Patient stages

Stages classify patients in the care pipeline. The first stage is the entry stage; a stage marked Concluded is terminal and its patients are excluded from active counts.

Set Stage while creating or editing a patient, or from the patient header. On the Patients list, stage chips filter the directory. Selection mode can move several patients to one stage at once.

A patient without an explicit stage is treated as being in the first stage. After that patient’s second encounter has started, Maestra assigns the second stage. Any explicit stage assignment opts the patient out of this automation; later movement is manual. At least two stages are required.

Open Settings → Patient Stages to add, rename, color, delete, and drag stages into order. Default Stages replaces the current pipeline with a profession-ready set and moves patients to the new first stage. Deleting one stage also moves its patients to the first stage.

The stage editor does not currently expose a generated-note-template override. Generated notes use the active generated-note template.
